Itinerary
We have crafted the itinerary so that, between the retreat sessions, you can lounge and relax:
Friday 23 October:
Arrival time: Aim for 3:00pm to allow for check-in and familiarize yourself with the space.
Guided:
- 5:30pm: Orientation
- 6:00pm: Meditation and Setting your tone for your weekend
Non-guided:
- Explore space
- 7:15pm: Dinner
- Lounge and relax (indoor at the fire places/ outdoors)
Saturday 24 October:
Guided:
- 7:00am: Pranayama Yoga and Meditation (breathing exercises, stretching, meditation). This will focus on: Purification kriya is to revitalize and cleanse the physical mental and emotional body using lymphatic stimulation, kriya breath and mantra. Simple postures used to strengthen the digestive system and practice paying attention through both stillness and movement hatha yoga and kundalini meditation.
Non-guided:
- 8:30am: Breakfast
- Lounge and relax (all Hydro and venue activities to explore, treatments to enjoy)
- 1:00pm: Lunchtime
Guided:
- 4:30pm: Yoga and Gong Meditation (Vibrational sound therapy stimulates circulation and endocrine glands, regulates hormonal function and generally affect all the cells in the body.)
Non-guided:
- 6:30pm: Dinner
Guided:
- 8:00pm: Outdoor Fire ceremony/ Sound Journey
Sunday 25 October:
Guided:
- 7:00am: Pranayama Yoga and Meditation (breathing exercises, stretching, meditation). Bios:
Ilana Fintz:
A Zimbabwean born yogi, Ilana was lucky enough to study Kundalini and Hatha yoga some 20 years ago. Her life work since has been spreading the teachings. Her studio “Gururamdas” is based in Cape Town, South Africa and she runs yoga trainings in the Cape and India.
She is also the creator of SpiritFestAfrica. A yoga music and dance wholistic family festival.
In her quest to making a change for the better in this world she is one of the directors of an NGO called www.freefoodkitchen.com, which feeds over 5000+ people and their pets in impoverished areas in Cape Town.
She has created 3 yoga manuals; a series of her latest contributions to this craft she so passionately lives and spreads.
Anton Casciati:
Anton is a co-founder and Director of “GuruRamDas”. He is the carer, the nurturer, the giver and the chai wallah. His aromatherapy background has given him the knowledge and understanding of natural blends and food remedies to assist people on their path. His gentle nature will make you feel safe and right at home. He teaches yoga in a centered, safe and balanced way that is suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners to go deeper.
