Over the Heritage Day long weekend, you are invited to various complimentary events where you can experience for yourself the universal health benefits of Meditation and Mindfulness, along with the usual pampering, detoxing and deep relaxation you can expect at the Hydro.

In this session, we’ll discover some effective ways to shift out of unhelpful mental and emotional states through focusing on our bodies – and observe how otherwise stubborn moods begin to soften and pass.

Alexia Montanari MA Clin Psych (WITS) is a mother of two, practicing in the Paarl/Franschoek area of the Western Cape. She is deeply connected to the practice of Mindfulness and the contemplative tradition from which it comes. Working with clients who struggle deeply with depression and anxiety using a Mindfulness approach, she combines both professional and personal insights.

Dr Cleve McIntosh MBBCh (UCT) is a specialist physician and homeopath. He is married with children and practices as a doctor in the vicinity of Hoedspruit. He has postgraduate training in psychiatry and Mindfulness and a passion for integrative medicine through which he teaches the intimate connection between physical sensations, thoughts and emotions.  Mindfulness has helped him to discover a deep joy in the day-to-day ordinariness of life.
